Travel/​Health Insurance

Following on from your booking with Sport Lived we strongly recommend that you take out insurance as soon as possible. By doing so you will have cover should you be prevented from undertaking your programme due to an illness or a serious accident. Sport Lived participants are required to have appropriate travel insurance prior to their departure for their programme.

Please ensure your travel policy covers you for travel days before your Sport Lived programme commences, and for your return travel home.

We strongly recommend you check the policy you choose covers you to play/coach your sport abroad. Also check the activities that you are covered for, in particular if you plan to undertake adventurous activities overseas such as bungee jumping, parachuting etc.

True Traveller offer simple and flexible travel insurance for international travel for young people from the UK and Europe that can be bought, extended and claimed online from anywhere in the world. You can generate a quote online for their Traveller and Traveller Plus plans. The Traveller Plus plan offers enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

US Residents:

World Nomads offer simple and flexible travel insurance for international travel for young people that can be bought, extended and claimed online anywhere in the world. You can generate a quote online for their Standard and Explorer plan. The Explorer plan gives more comprehensive cover.

Please note for US residents booked on a Full Season programme, the maximum number of days that can be covered under a plan is 180. While the plans themselves cannot be extended, you may, however, purchase a subsequent plan for extended travel arrangements.

It is possible for a customer to hold 2 policies for up to 180 days at the same time. i.e. the subsequent policy can be bought at the same time as the first policy for 180 days but with a later Effective (start) date.
