Brighton Cricket Club

The Brighton Club (BCC) founded in 1842 is Australia's 2nd oldest cricket club and is a foundation member of the Victorian Sub District Cricket Association (VSDCA), founded in 1908.A total of 12 internationals have played for the club including Australian Test player Shane Warne. Another 50 first class cricketers have played for the club.

BCC has four senior teams that play in the powerful VSDCA Turf competition, consisting of 15 rounds of one and two day cricket - 80 over 2 day games played over consecutive weekends and 45 over one day games. The season starts in October and concludes in late March with a break for two weeks over Christmas.
They have an enormously successful junior program, with 13 teams between Under 12s and Under 16s playing in the South East Cricket Association (SECA). They are also a Cricket Australia partner in running its T20 Blast Program for boys and girls aged 5 – 10. With so many junior sides there are always opportunities to take on coaching responsibilities. The club is tremendously proud of its long and successful history

The club's home ground is the picturesque Brighton Beach Oval, located on the corner of Beach and South Roads, Brighton. Their elevated pavilion is a stones throw to the beach and Brighton Beach train station, which is easily accessible

Their 1st and 2nd XI play at their home ground on Saturdays and their 3rd and 4th XI play at Dendy Park in Brighton. Senior Training is held at Beach Road on Tuesday and Thursdays and Junior training runs on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays . There are 8 training nets, 4 turf and 4 synthetic, these fantastic facilities offer our members the chance to be the best players they can be.

Club Membership

Sport Lived will pay your club membership subscription at Brighton Cricket Club. Sport Lived will also pay for club uniform required for matches and training, such as a playing shirt, shorts, club hat and a training shirt. Any extra club merchandise you will need to purchase yourself. You will be required to also pay for transport to training sessions and matches, as well as participation in any tours or training camps.
